Pricing & Billing Guide

Overview and Billing Models

All customers must sign an agreement with TelQ before making any payment (Prepaid top-up or Postpaid invoice).
TelQ offers two billing models: Prepaid and Postpaid, each designed to suit different testing volumes and payment preferences.

Prepaid Billing

  • Credits are purchased in advance.

  • Ideal for flexible, pay-as-you-go testing.

  • Default billing model for all new customers.

Postpaid Billing

  • Monthly invoicing based on actual usage.

  • Available for customers with 1,000+ tests per month upon account-manager approval.

  • Subject to a monthly commitment (see section 4).

Prepaid Packages

You can purchase prepaid credits directly in your TelQ account under Top-Up.
Payment options:

  • PayPal – instant credit allocation

  • Bank transfer – credits added after payment confirmation

Non-Expiring Prepaid Credits

Credits never expire — best for long-term or irregular testing.

How Monthly Commitment Works

  • Minimum monthly billing: €300

  • If usage < €300 → still billed €300

  • If usage > €300 → billed based on actual tests at €0.30 per test
This ensures predictable billing and access to the lowest rates.

Billing Methodology

Definition of a “Test”

Each test is defined as a unique combination of: Sender ID, Text, Destination (test number), Supplier, and Test ID Text. A unique Test ID is generated for every test and used for billing.

Failed Tests & Back-Up Tests

  • Failed Tests: No charge if failure is caused by TelQ (e.g., test number unavailable).

  • Back-Up Tests: If a test number becomes unavailable during execution, TelQ automatically re-routes to another number in the same destination at no additional cost.

  • You can disable back-up tests in your account. If disabled and no alternative is available, the credit for the failed test is automatically refunded.

Balance

Prepaid Accounts

  • Balance reflects available funds in Euros, not test credits.

  • Testing pauses automatically when balance reaches 0.

  • A new top-up is required to resume testing.

Postpaid Accounts

  • Balance may go below 0 based on usage.

  • Invoices issued during the first week of each month for the previous month’s usage.

  • Once paid, the invoiced amount is added as a positive balance, and the remaining balance shows current unpaid usage.

Invoices

In the Invoices section of your TelQ account, you can view and manage all transaction history — both Prepaid and Postpaid.
Each entry includes key information such as:

  • Payment status (Waiting / Confirmed)

  • Time and date of action

  • Top-up value (total amount)

  • Purchase rate

  • Package details

  • Email address of the account that created the invoice

Available Actions

For Prepaid Accounts

  • Continue Payment: Click the Payment button for invoices in “Waiting” status to complete your transaction.

  • View Transaction: Review details for any invoice.

  • Delete Waiting Transactions: You can delete any invoice that remains in “Waiting” status.

For Postpaid Accounts

  • Download Excel Summary: Export an Excel spreadsheet of all tests performed during the billed month.

  • Download Invoice: Obtain the official invoice for your records.

The Invoices menu is visible to both main (admin) and deputy accounts, ensuring transparency across your team.

Billable vs Non-Billable Tests

This section defines when a test is considered billable depending on its type and final status.

Test Type

Non-Billable Conditions

Live Number Testing (LNT)

NETWORK_OFFLINE, INTERNAL_ERROR, TEST_NUMBER_OFFLINE, SMPP_SESSION_OFFLINE

Manual Testing (MT)

INTERNAL_ERROR, TEST_NUMBER_OFFLINE, NETWORK_OFFLINE

CLI Testing

INTERNAL_ERROR, TEST_NUMBER_OFFLINE, NETWORK_OFFLINE

Initial WAIT and intermediary statuses are billed at the time of the test; non-billable final statuses are refunded automatically.
